No matter how apologists for Israeli racist housing policies try to squirm out of it, the settlements represent segregation. Tell me, how many Palestinian residents of the West Bank can move into settlement housing? How many Israeli Palestinians can live in these settlements, all of which are illegal under international law. How many Palestinians will be allowed to move into the new housing being built illegally in East Jerusalem? If it is not segregation why are Palestinians of East Jerusalem who have lived in their homes for years being kicked into the streets so that Jewish settlers can take over their homes without paying even a shekel to the rightful owners? Israel represents segregation as much, if not more, than any segregated society and it is time to put away the denials.
