@ #5 The Arabs are not going to get an independent state. Abbas is trying to avoid negotiations because he knows compromise is not acceptable to his own people - so lets try the UN. The US probably wont even need to veto - although they will if they get the opportunity. When it fails, there is no 'instant one state solution' like you believe. The Arabs are back to square 1, minus US aid. You need to realize that unless you accept Israel's right to exist without being attacked - and without absorbing 'refugees' - the Arabs will be sitting in camps for centuries.
