First of all, Israel left Gaza four years ago. Not recently, 4 years ago. No Jewish settlements exist in Gaza, and there hasn't been any is 4 years. No negotiations took place, it was a unilateral move on the part of Israel. Second, in a negotiation, you cannot expect demands to be heeded. When Israel suggested that Jews could live in a future state of Palestine, Abbas said that that could be negotiated for. If that has to be negotiated (that Jews can live in Palestinian lands), then how can you expect anything else to come for free.
