chiming in as a woman who has sat next to smelly, rude, disgusting, drunk, etc, males, this is one idea that is not so bad. I think there should be blocks of seats for men and women as well as families and just regular fliers. I sit in the aisle seat - if someone wants me to switch to another without big inconvenience then I do it. What has happened to me on recent long distance flights is that the haredi man has paid on the spot for upgrading (seat but without the extra goodies). OR haredim can have their own flights once or twice a week and leave the rest of us alone. Live and let live.
