What do you do with the information... and how do you use it. Apart from flag-waving or jingoistic rhetoric, these kind operations need to be assessed on a case by case basis. There's no doubt, eliminating high level operatives will disrupt covert activities short term. It may not deter their overall agenda, but that's not the objective in the first place. I think in some sense, it sends a message... we know where you live, we know what you're doing... and don't think you can do this with impunity.
