There is no such thing as "a people's right" or "a people's wish". Rights belong to individuals. Arab leaders must accept that they cannot manufacture a people called "Palestinian" and then expect an automatic relegation of "rights" to said artificial nationality. These refugees whose existence was brought about by pan-Arab militarism in the mid-20th century have every right to call Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, etc their rightful homeland. The fact that these countries' laws forbid it is simply inexcusable. That said, Israel ought to play a more pro-active role in catering to the rightfully worried moderateleaders in the Arab world, who want to see pan-Arab let's-restore-the-caliphate hysteria returned to its rightful place in the graveyard of historical neuroses. Fund individual Arab families' moves to cooperative Arab nations, and do what's right for these individuals - not some deluded notion of nationhood.
