The conflicts in these other neighbouring countries are horrendous civil wars and terrorism and do indirectly pose problems to both the Israelis and the Palestinians, but indirectly because the issue with the Palestinians is territorial and can be resolved with the moderates on both sides. With extremist Muslims, one of the ways to deter them from being recruited into terrorism is to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, provide these Muslims with economic supports to modernize, instill democracy and human rights, and to have the Imams participate with their support to reject use of violence. It's become in the last 25 years or so that the extremists want to change the historical narrative of Jews and Muslims coexisting together for centuries in the Middle East. President Obama and Europe are not the saviors for this region, but rather it's an international responsibility that Muslim extremism be rejected. It's important to reiterate that officially the Arab League has declared recognition of Israel and supports the two-states resolution. It's not beneficial to allow the extremists to set the platform for the region.
