This was never, ever a Sephardic/Ashkenasim issue as falsely reported. We now all know this. Religious people do not want their children exposed to what they perceive as twisted, secular, goy values and that is understandable. I would not send my kids to a school in Mea Shearim and they would not send their kids to school in Ramat Aviv. That is the parents' right to decide how to educate their own children.
