The main point: In Israel, schools are officially segregated. That creates social facts. There is no such thing as "separate but equal". The Jewish hegemony controls educational resources and unevenly distributes them as a means of enforcing the Occupation and of controlling the Arab communities. The Arabs are much easier for the israeli hegemony to control when entire communties are living from hand to mouth. Investment in schools, higher education, college preparation, and Hebrew and English language skills for the subjugated communities will benefit EVERYONE, except those in favor of the occupation. To this end, some form of outside subsidy is needed to help young people toward higher education.
