"Israel disputes the Palestinian claim on all the West Bank and East Jerusalem, land it captured from Jordan in the 1967 war and has since extensively settled." So where, exactly, is the Israeli counter-claim? Because it certainly appears that for 40+ years the Israeli claim has always been "they can't have that", whereas during a territorial dispute the Israeli claim should really be "This is mine! Not theirs! Mine!!" Indeed, it is very hard to define this as "a territorial dispute", though it is very accurate to define Israeli policy as "an attempt at extortion".
