To Israelis: The USA is far from perfect, we freely admit that. I am not thrilled with moves made by Bush, but; Beilin has got it all wrong. USA never spoke in one clear voice regarding Israel. In 1948, there were those who did everything they could to convince Truman not to recognize Israel, yet he did. In 1973, there were those who urged President Nixon to send a token airlift of arms to Israel, he did not listen to them. Today it is no different. The support for Israel in The US Congress is solid enough. We are not about to back away from our obligations to Israel. Go ahead, define your borders, as you see fit. Do not fall for Beilin's Bait. He is desperate. He does not even have the guts to take responsibility for the tens of thousands of dead and wounded Israelis, who fell victim to HIS failed Oslo policy. Today, The Israeli people courageously gave notice to Mr. Peres. Good for you. Stay strong.

Why the Jewish establishment won’t condemn the occupation

Unless more U.S. Jews who oppose the occupation become members of established Jewish organizations and donate money, the establishment is unlikely to heed calls of those who want it to condemn the occupation.
