I can see why Israel might not want to intervene. A common enemy would unite them. However, there are definitely some moderate voices in there that Israel would not want to lose. Better have a contingency plan. I'd spirit Erekat out of there now! They'll still blame Israel, yeah! But what are you going to do without people like Erekat?
