or convincing. The Golan was NOT always part of Syria. In fact, the Golan was part of Palestine until the British illegally transferred it to the French around 1922. Before 1922, you have to go back to ancient history to find the Golan under the control of Syrians. And Gamla, a large, ancient Jewish city, is in the Jewish Golan. BTW, Israel already has 20+ Arab/Muslim states breathing down her neck. Unless there are fundamental changes in the way Arab societies operate (look at what the Ikhwan is trying to do in Egypt right now), that will not change no matter how much land Israel surrenders for the illusion of peace. Sure, sometimes Israeli politicians use phony excuses. But the threat of qassems and suicide bombers isn't one of those phony excuses.
