Iran seems headed in the direction of sanctions and isolation with Europe and the U.S. and who knows who else. But, there will be no U.S. involvement in any military strike in my opinion with so many dangerous unknown factors. America is short on money. Americans are not enthusiastic about being over in Afghanistan or Iraq. There is no interest whatsoever in getting involved in another war. I see Israel as striking before Iran would strike first. And the disruption to the world economy would not be forgiven soon and the long term consequences would last generations. I fear Israel more than Iran on starting or pushing for something that will end up something along the lines of the West Bank and settler policies. Works in the immediate, but there is no long term thinking it through. You think we have problems now. A military strike would be the terrorist dream for an ample supply of endless recruits.
