Everyone knows there is no genuine desire for peace and all this talk about roadmaps and conferences is so much cynical babble. Israel would be foolish to release thousands of militants who would run back to the bomb factories. Abbas says no peace until their army is released, well, so be it. When it all boils down, Palestinians have no leverage and it's about time they found the humility to admit they're the loser in this conflict and need to be flexible and compromise. Oh, I know everyone pretends the obstacle is Israel's intransigence but deep down we know the real dealbreaker for peace is that Islam is incapable of tolerance towards 'infidels', especially in land it conquered and henceforth considers consecrated. But since nobody dreams of being able to moderate Islam they turn the screws on the only side open to pressure, Isreal. But the world seems to ever underestimate Jewish stubborness, thinking it can pressured away. If it could, Jews wouldn't exist today.
