Semitic people wandered in and around what is now Israel for thousands of years. While there are groups within the Jewish family who have DNA markers that differ from other groups within the same family, there is no genetic proof of Jews being a 'race' or being superior, or being vastly different from other 'family' groups. Those who are driven to succeed often do and a sense' of clan shows up in their practice of mutual support in education, business, politics, etc. To their credit since they also contribute a great deal to social causes. But as most people in the field of genetics write today, a Jewish person carries the same DNA as any other person from the middle east. Their accomplishments are driven by social-religious-environment factors. They are not a 'race'.
