Well, we do have to wonder whether the Muslim, Christian, and Jewish Gods are one and the same. The Christain God is one of often forced reconciliation, mercy and grace. The Jewish one is one of petty tribalism and "an eye for an eye". The Arab one demands submission from all. If the three gods do not represent the same thing, then why call them by the same name? Let's go for God C, God J, and God M from now on. Jeff - all well saying that a Christian should support Israel. But did not Christ himself side with those whe were weakest, those who were downtrodden and rejected by Jewish society? Would not Christ, who cared for the Samaritans, himself have cared for the fate of the Palestinians now? Do not let your prejudice against Arabs get in the way of your faith... But maybe that's the difference between American "Christianity", which lives in expectation of the rapture and goes by Genesis, and European Catholicism, which goes by the the gospels and tries to make heaven on Earth.
