I feel sorry for the Yemenites who feel Israel failed them, but my guess is there is more to the story. Aliyah is difficult, and making a new home in a foreign country takes commitment. Anyone who really wanted to make aliyah would not throw in the towel after a few weeks. Tens of thousands of Yemenite Jews have settled in Israel and eventually prospered. Having said that, I wish Israel had been more sensitive to these peoples' needs. I wonder what went wrong?
