I am absolutely amazed that any civilized rational person would attempt to justify using a 9 year old as a human shield as being either moral or heroic. What bothers me most though are the comments of the soldier who appearently believes that any action taken on behalf of the state is permissable...even though the action is illegal. It almost seems like he was taught/trained to do exactly what he did. Could it be possible that Goldstone was right when he said that BOTH SIDES violated the law of land warfare?
