The talkbacks are even sadder than the article. I can understand a rational argument for IDF presence / actions, whatever, but the callous indifference to the loss of human life never fails to shock me. I just don't even understand the "but they killed lots of us!" argument. How does that make what happened to this family OK? It's just tragic all around, is what it is. It's one thing to support the Israeli government and the IDF, but it's another thing entirely to lack utterly in empathy or human compassion.
