For the first time I agree with the Orthodox. For a true liberal, there is nothing sacred enough to compel the other to behave according to what I expect from him, because of my beliefs. It is very easy to tolerate behaviors that do not exceed limits that we consider reasonable. The challenge for a liberal is the acceptance of behavior that go beyond the boundaries that he has established as reasonable, because of the belief that is sacred to him. Feeling the right to establish boundaries between what is sacred and what is profane is contradictory to the liberal ideology.
