Rubbish, Elisabeth. The flotilla is seeking to bring to Gaza a third of the aid that Israel trucks into the Strip every day. The organizers also know that they can bring the goods into Gaza via Ashdod following inspection for armaments -- such as anti-tank missiles of the kind fired from Gaza at a yellow Israeli school bus in May and the shore-to-ship missiles that were hidden in the Victoria. As acknowledged by the organizers themselves, the goods they bring, e.g. letters in English, are not the reason for their gambit. Rather, they are hoping for confrontation and attention. This band of radical leftists and anti-Semites, who are too cowardly to sail to Syria where the goods are indeed needed by thousands of refugees, are only seeking to feed their own vanity and narcissism, expecting to return home the next day as heroes in their own minds.
