There needs to be a dialogue. Sorry Avi(#3), but you have it all wrong. It is the Orthodox who are not truly adhering to the essence of Judaism. Orthodox lets some Rabbi...who they place on a pedestal, sometimes with almost G-dlike stature make a determination on what G-d means and then they say anyone who doesn't agree is wrong, period. The funny thing is that in Israel, you let the Orthodox run the show! For example, any descendent of Moses would not be considered Jewish in Israel because Miriam was not a Jew.
