Some Mizrahi Jews were Zionists. But 99% of the Jewish population left, or rather had to leave. Show me any other place in the World where 99% of a population left voluntarily. Many US Jews are Zionists, but would you imagine 99% of them leaving to Israel voluntarily??? As to Arab Palestinian refugees, most left while protected by the British Army, like 90,000 from Jaffa, tens of thousands from Haifa, Acre, Tiberias, Safed, etc. None of these were forced to leave. Many left do to the treats of the impending war and bombings by the Arab armies that invaded the day the British left. Finally, the Palestinians Arab leadership started, in words and deeds, a violent war against the Palestinian Jews in 1947. The Jews in Arab countries did not start a war, and did not commit massacres on their Arab neighbors. Nevertheless 99% left, while the Arabs who stayed in Israel have largely prospered, certainly much more than their brethrens in Arab countries.
