THE JEWISH PEOPLE NEVER WANTED THE 'WEST BANK'. WHEN DAVID BEN GURION PROCLAIMED A JEWISH STATE IN 1948, HE GAVE HIS REASONS FOR NOT WANTING THE 'WEST BANK'. THE 1967 WAR WAS FORCED UPON ISRAEL. THE LABOUR GOVERNMENT WANTED A PEACE DEAL AND ALL GOVERNMENTS HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR PEACE SINCE 1967. THE CONCEPT OF DEFENSIBLE BORDERS IS A PRODUCT OF THE 'ALLON PLAN' NAMED AFTER YIGAL ALLON THE MOST RESPECTED FIGURE IN ISRAEL'S DEFENSE DEPARTMENT. ALL MAPS AND FENCES EVOLVE AROUND THE RED LINES THAT HE PROPOSED. AGAIN, IT IS THE WELL MEANING 'SETTLERS' THAT ARE GETTING SCREWED. THE PICTURE THAT WAS PAINTED FOR THEM BY PREVIOUS GOVERNMENTS AND WHAT THEY IN REALITY GO THROUGH IS REVOLTING. UNDERSTAND, THE SETTLERS ARE NOT KAHANE SUPPORTERS. FOR THE MOST PART, THEY BELEIVE IN CO-EXISTANCE. BUT, CO-EXISTANCE IS NO LONGER THE POLICY OF THE SECURITY COUNCIL OF ISRAEL.
