I feel a little fortified....glad to read your post. Actually, if the scenario of anti-Jewish riots etc & similar does ever eventuate in Europe, it would by natural forces only inflame the American public as well... As such events would HAVE to be covered by the media. The focus of the spotlight fairly and squarely on the plight of the Arabs/Palestinians not only in Europe but also by extension in Israel & 'Palestine'. Whether a witchhunt against 'U.S. Jewish citizens hostile to America' could/would ever develop who knows... But, look at the U.S. population... what percentage is underclass & dissatisfied? What percentage is Islamic? What percentage is black with grudges against Jews? Israel is playing with fire... now Israel is trying to forge new political relationships e.g with Indonesia and the E.U. no doubt to try to offset the 'sizeable' blocs of Islamic people power. Israel despite it's human resources, has a crisis of confidence on the one hand & a crisis of 'over-confidence' on the other. They cannot both exist together... Israel is now desperate/worried enough to 'lobby' for MEMBERSHIP of the E.U. Yes, there are Jewish roots in Europe but geographically speaking... it's not even close... ... Whilst Israel may want to cement a permanent place at Europe's table, the ice may get a little thin... Europe's capitals may remove the welcome mat due to the seething restless Islamic citizens who are likely to cause mayhem on the streets. The whole thing is going to EXPLODE sooner or later, especially when taking into consideration the Taleban's longevity, Al Queda, Iran, a resurgent Shiite Iran-influenced Iraq... . If true democracy is realised in the Middle East, wouldn't countries such as Egypt & Algeria become Islamic Fundamentalist States overnight? ... Scary now??? What is in the pipeline? If I were 'Jewish' & not submerged deep inside the woodwork somewhere, I wouldn't be able leave my house... can you feel anything on the streets yet?
