Richard, you have an English name so why the incomprehensible post? "And where King David made it his CAPITAL and remained there for SEVEN years. After that to JERUSALEM.That is why Hebron is even older than Jerusalem by 4000 years." R Why, does David as a very minor local King, reigning from Hebron for '7' years before conquering Jerusalem make Hebron 4000 years older than Jerusalem? Answer. It doesn't. What you may have been trying to say is that Abraham, were he to have existed[very unlikely] might have died about 1000 years earlier than the time of David if torah chronology could be made to fit reality.[it can't]. ie[Exodus 480 years before Temple,430 years exile in Egypt, two earlier generations than Jacob, which gives something less than a thousand years before David. That's 4000 years ago NOT 4000 years older than Jerusalem. Learn to write in English then answer this question: Why do we read in Joshua that the tomb of the Patriarchs was located in Shechem [today's Nablus, north of Jerusalem].Joshua 24:32. I asked an orthodox Rabbi in London this once [who spoke perfect English] but he was rather flummoxed! In any case I the chappies who wrote Joshua[probably Jeremiah/Baruch his scribe]who lived in Judah 2600 years ago did not know where the tomb was or else put the wrong co-ordinates in their satellite-nav.
