It makes perfect sense that after 30 years Egyptian agents were finally able punish a treasonist traitor. The Mossad clearly GAINS NOTHING by murdering someone who was in a position to reveal any details related to Israeli spy operations. On the other hand, the Egyptians benefit greatly by keeping a tell all book from reaching the presses. The Egyptians clearly have a motive and the Israelis do not.
