Israelis incessantly claim that their country is held to a double standard by the rest of the world. Yet, Israelis themselves are the ones holding themselves to a different standard. (In both cases, Israel ends up being held to a much lower standard than the rest of the Western world, of which Israel fancies itself a member), Israeli government officials are not the only ones who should be held responsible for this and the multitude of other immoral acts committed in Israel's name. It is about time that the world apply to Israel the same standard that Israel applies to the Palestinians, namely, that ALL israelis be held accountable for the actions of the government the elect. That includes ALL of the acts of brutality inflicted by the Israeli government and the IDF on the Palestinians, ALL of the actions of the Israeli government in passing discriminatory laws and implementing its own version of apartheid, and ALL of the actions and repurcussions of Israel's illegal occupation of the West Bank and its vitrual imprisonment of the entire population of Gaza. The world is tired of hearing so many Israelis whine that the far right extremists do not reflect the majority of Israelis. If that were true, then the far-right would not be calling all of the shots in Israel's government.
