The Jews and Arabs in Israel have leadership that is accountable to the people. That is why Israel is much more successful than Lebanon. Nasrallah failed in every objective in his war. No prisoner swap, South Lebanon is destroyed, still littered with cluster bombs, with UN troops watching/spying on him, Lebanese army troops in S.Lebanon for the first time in decades. He has no power in the government and is hated by 60% of his population. His rallies have been a complete failure. Unfortunately, there is no accountability to this man who destroyed Lebanon for nothing but more misery. The Arabs of Lebanon are all suffering for his mistakes. In Israel, a smart, dynamic country moves ahead economically and militarily while throwing out those who did not perform as they should. Hee Hee Hee Hee Hee

Why we don't know how to pick our leaders

Our craving for ideology means that we are partial to ideological leaders. But we need leaders who will make smart decisions that are aligned with the public interest.
