Hi Brad, Yes. The U.S. can't produce all the engery it uses. In time this will change with advancements in technology. Till then we buy energy from others to make up the shortfall. Fortunately, we can do that without having a military presence in the Middle East. Yes. The U.S. is a relatively open and free society. I would like her to stay that way. Sadly in the "fight against terrorism" we have lost some of our freedom and openness. Worse we have destroyed Iraq in our pursuit of safety and made the people of Iraq less safe. This is a tragedy. It's true there are those who want to see America brought low just because we are a big and powerful country. Seems to be human nature to wish ill on the successful. But it would be incorrect to dismiss the grievances of the Muslims as simple jealousy. Their complaints have merit. I couldn't agree with you more. War is and always will be a very, very ugly thing. And I think this one can be won without firing a shot. Thanks.
