These security people are every day risking their lives. It can sometimes be annoying or humiliating to passengers, but compared to the terrorism risk I think it's worth it. Don't forget also El Al cannot afford to hire university graduates for that, it would cost too much. Considering everything, I think they are doing a tremendous job.
