Why should it be "normal" for the haredim style of observance to prevail at the wall? The haredim may have been able to "hijack" the wall and take control of what happens there, but that doesn't automatically make it right. What is right is that it should be acknowledged for what it is - an important place for all Jews but not a haredi synagogue. As such all Jews must have equal right to pray there as they choose. It is absurd to think that one stream of Jewry has greater entitlement than another.
