The headlines this week reeked of déjà vu, reminiscent of previous confrontations and intifadas, as conditions on the ground in Gaza are becoming more and more similar to those that preceded the 2014 war.19:05 05.02.16 | 4 comments
Ronnie, I have noticed that you say very little if any about Jewish fundamentalism and Christian fundamentalism. You in America elected a fandamentalist President twice, and many of your senators and congressmen are fanatical Christian fundamentalists. In Israel, up to 40% of the Knesset are Jewish fundamentalists, including Shas, Yahdut Hatorah, Mifdal and others. So, I wonder why is Israel is allowed to be a Jewish democracy while Muslim states are not allowed to become Muslim democracies? In fact, Islam is more compatible with democracy than is Judaism, I mean Orthodox Judaism, since it accommodates pretty well non-Muslims. What I am telling you is that you should be intellectually consistent, not vilify Muslims while keeping mum when Jews are involved.
