Israel has tried to reach a peace settlement with the Palestinians and been rebuffed on more than one occasion but the Israel of today does not want a "just and viable" 2-state settlement and the Likud charter continues to state that there will be no Palestinian state in the West Bank. According to you, it is the Palestinians who have always been at fault, no blame need ever be attached to Israel. The truth is more complex because this is a situation which has endured for many decades, has seen leadership and policy changes on both sides and inevitably must be viewed as an evolving process.
