'This is very serious if it's someone from our community. We roundly condemn it. It's not representative,' says local community head.16:56 07.02.16 | 0 comments
Unfortunately I'm old enough to remember some of the history I refer to! About 20% of Iran's 2,500 year old Jewish community remain-- fearful and isolated -- after 80% fled the Islamic Revolution. Some Jews remain in Morocco, but most left for France, Britain or Israel because of uncertainty about their future. The Jewish communities in Iraq and Egypt, dating back to 586 BC ended with expulsion following 1948. No compensation has been received for homes and businesses. Jews are not allowed to live in Jordan or Saudi. Not much sign of equality and human rights.
