Should Palastinains born in Lebanon be considered Lebanese citizens? Should they at least have the right to make their lives in Lebanon if that is all they have known? Not according to the Israeli cabinet. They should be repatriated to their home countries, and guess where that will be. Israel will need to consider how expulsion of children born in Israel will be used by Lebanese to maintain their rights to deprive Palastinains who have lived all their lives in Lebanon from Lebanese citizenship. This is bound to be part of peace discussions if they ever get that far. Jews who have been expelled or prohibited entry so many times in so many countries should think ten times before expelling immigrants or their children who want to play a part in building the Jewish state.
