Former London mayor, who said last week that Hitler had supported Zionism, accuses right-wing parliamentarians of stoking anti-Semitism to harm party leader Jeremy Corbyn.02:22 07.05.16 | 0 comments
Remember that the victims potentially have a life sentence. Even with support, therapy and determination, not everyone who has been raped or seriously sexually harassed recovers sufficiently to be able to form good loving relationships in the future. And even if they are able to find the strength to move on, the years it takes to get that far can never be replaced. Anyone who has been through such a horrendous experience knows that something of immense value inside has been defiled, humilated, torn to pieces and destroyed, and that the person doing it to you enjoyed doing it, knew what he was doing and revelled in the sense of power it gave him. The overwhelming shame, horror, pain beyond measure and depression afterwards can lead some victims to consider taking their own lives to end their suffering. I am sure that the prison guards can place Mr Katsav in a secure cell where he can be watched and that any means of taking his own life can be prevented. He wouldn't be the first inmate to threaten suicide.
