Few months ago the Pope dropped a bomb shell by stating that Islam is a violent religion, etc, and he quoted a historical figure whose name escapes me at the moment. Christians & Jews alike rushed to defend the Pope's right to say what he thinks and accused Muslims of being over-sensitive. No one seemed to question the validity of what was being said. Who's being over-sensitive now? We're not talking about some historical figure's opinion here. We're talking about a historian with credentials that can't be matched, as his Bar-Ilan colleagues testified, and yet people who don't know what academia really means are now academically terrorizing Prof Toaff not for his research methods (which no one has attempted to challenge) but for the result of his research! The demand for thought police is on the rise! May God help us all!
