The whole sick mess goes to the moving of the capital to Jerusalem to purposely inflame the Arabs. And the rabinniacal authority thing - a couple ultra orthodox extremists in early 2009 said "gays are like bird flu" -a call for the genocide of gay people by those whose close relatives shared hitlers ovens with the gays of germany. This is insane. It probably ties to the German pope who a couple weeks earlier compared gays to filth and said they and trans people would result in the destruction of the human race. Of course the POpe grew up in the nazi era. This is not my Judaism, and Judaism is no longer my religion, nor that of my son or daughter. The world is engaged in a terrible struggle between religious zealots intent on protecting their power, and secular people who believe in the decency and love of all of gods creation, and that we no longer live in the dark ages. Islamic, christian, and now Jewish - all with madmen leading parts of these groups. God save Humanity - if he can. But you can bet the bible thumpers of the world are intent on re-establishing their power, no matter how horrible the results.
