First, the first obligation of any US citizen is to the US. Spying on it for ANY other country is equal to treason. Second, releasing Pollard will to more harm than good to Israel's interests. It will play into the hands of critics who are gaining in numbers who say Israel has too much influence over US policy. He knew what he was doing, now he has to pay the price and stop whining. Let him rot in jail.
