The shameful attacks on cemetaries, insitutions and individuals are a disgrace to the UK and everything it stands for. The boycott by the AUT is ridiculous. The convergence of Israeli-critique and traditional ant-semitism is undoubtably a real issue, especially in the context of the struggle with Islam and the Muslim world. But I wonder, would the findings of the Chronicle survey be different if the question was for a black PM or asian PM? I'm not so sure. Likewise, I believe that there were a far higher amount (not proportionally) of attack on Muslims. In summary, I believe that black/asian communities in the UK are a lot worse off than the jewish community and victim to far higher levels of discrimination. It is clear that Israel has an image problem in Europe, and comments like those made by DOv help reinforce the negative perception. Some of it is old anti-semitism, but some is simply due to extremely lousy Israeli PR and policies.
