Some of the responses here are symptomatic of the fascistic and militaristic tendencies evolving in Israel today. Is the population really ready for an army coup d'etat, that is happening already unofficially and surreptitiously? It all stems from misunderstanding the Arab struggle: they are not thugs and antisemites although some of their methods are uncivilized in western views; they are resisting occupation. A naive and totally illusionary assumption is that this is a war that IDF can win. Those who think that this is a military problem do not understand that armies can fight armies but not entire peoples. It's easy to think in terms of a limited number of thugs who can be cornered and defeated, but wake up, guys, this is not the situation here. The Palestinians struggle for independence has only a political solution (if it has any). Reframe your thinking: restore their lands and their self respect and you will have partners for peace.
