If Israel starts a regional war by attacking Iran, Gaza, and Lebanon then the real Big Boys will step in and determine how the final outcome is to be. The US will be only one of many players and the EU, China, Russia are not the lap dog to AIPAC and Israel that the US is. Regional ME war will take the conflict out of the Israel/US domestic political sphere and the whole world will decide the final configuration not Israel and American power politics. Americans were happy to be out of making the decisions in Libya as the EU commanders were as well. The US will be out of Iraq soon and this is supported by the US citizens if not by right wing politicians. The American people don't want to support Israel's exploitation of the Palestinians forever and after all this time Americans have come to be very tired of this. Israelis most often think they can punish the people under the occupation and they will come to heel and accept their fate of subjugation and exploitation but there really is no evidence over the long term that this is true - even after 60 years
