A simple request to desist from the crime you commit on a daily basis with impunity is not an unreasonable demand and is not a "pre-condition"i hope with all my heart that the Palestinians boycott this pre-arranged farce with the quartet,it is obvious that the Israelis will not stop the settlements and do everything they can to show to the world that it is the fault of the Palestinian delegation when the talks break down.Regev is a most slippery character-we hear him on UK tv telling us regularly that black is white and up is down.he claims that the Palestinians are not ready for a package of "give and take"- most independent observers to the constant illegal annexation of their lands would scoff at such a contemptible assertion and consider that all the giving has been done by the Palestinians while all the taking is on the Israeli side.if he really wants to find a way of meeting "legitimate Palestinian demands" to ensure Israeli security he knoews full well what he has to do and that is give back what you have stolen since 1967 and i think you will find that nearly all your security problems will fade away,The PA will absorb and pacify Hamas if real progress is in the offing and it is likely that the UN would be on the ground to ensure that the agreements are adhered to by both sides.Eventually the world will demand that you do this and will exert more and more pressure on you until you do.Time to rediscover your humanity and not be so partisan and selective about on whom it can be extended to.
