Not to worry too much, they get passed in all democracies. The real issue is the lack of a 'bill of rights' for the citizens of Israel. The codification of individual rights is paramount to personal liberty (and responsibility) in a free state. Until a 'bill of rights' is agreed upon and passed by the Knesset and ratified by the voting public in Israel, no individuals Liberty is safe, not that of Israeli citizens both Arab and Jewish and certainly not that of non-Israeli persons. The Bill of Rights in the US Constituiton is a great place to start. Just get to it!
