I think we all know that Bibi is a great proponent of peace talks. He's not so keen on actual peace, mind you. For Bibi the peace talks is a charade in which one has to partake every once in a while, in order to keep other countries' attention away from the ultimate goal of annexation of the occupied territories. The idea that he wants to promote peace is just naive. The same lure of peace talks was used the last time Bibi wanted a "broad coalition", ie when he wanted to attract one of the leftist parties to shore up his coalition. Just look back on some articles from the previous election, you'd think many of those quotes were given yesterday. The great statesman Netanyahu is calling for peace and national unity. And then, if you consider how little regard Bibi showed for peace in the last 4 years I think you will not be impressed by this "new" push for peace talks.
