yehoram writes "your knowledge of the treatment of jews in the Arab world is indeed lacking. TYhey were treated as second class citizens- known as dhimmis, always persecuted, sometimes randomly killed or had their homes/businesses/synagogues attacked and were eventually kicked out. There were more than 1 million jewish refugess from the Arab world who came to Israel, which is more than twice the numbers of Arabs who fled/left israel during the 1948 war. The Arab sates told their fellow arabs to leave and return to Israel after they had killed all the Jews but unfortunately for them they lost." there is no actual evidence of arab states telling Palestenians to leave. it is an israeli myth. many israeli's who have bothered to research work done by israelis themselves know this. its an argument that holds no watter what so ever. The arab states we indeed guilty of a lot, for one they disarmed palestenian fighters, as well as fought pathetically. with regards to the treetment of jews in arab states,, it is much more of a complex matter that is still being looked at. according to many reliable accounts (israelis whose desendents lived in arab countries) israeli pressure was as much an issue in their decision as anything. there is a vast amount of literature on the subject that you should look at
