Lots of room there! In the past, kibbutzim reclaimed land that was thought to be unusable. Let kibbutzim do it again in the Negev, radiating in all directions from Be'er Sheva. Plant trees, as in the Galilee; dig huge water cisterns in the living rock. Farm the land. And perhaps someday it will be possible to dig that canal from the Med to the Dead Sea, and another from the Dead Sea to the Gulf of Aqaba. Impossible? No way! Not for the hard headed people of Israel who can and will do anything when they set their minds to it!
