Even though Ari Shavit's article appears to analyze the reasons for the the blind support for Olmert by the media in the last election it does not mention what is probably the key reason: today, as a they have over the last ten years, Israeli journalist will slant any interview, distort facts, and do anything else possible they can to prevent Bibi from becoming prime minister. To me, the true reason for the abysmal failure of the Israeli media is simple: their prime objective is to prevent, at all costs, the election of Bibi to be prime minister. Now that the polls again show strong support for Bibi we can expect the press to again try, at all costs, to mount another campaign for anyone willing to oppose him regardless of his/hers qualifications.
